Simply download them and print them out at home, so you’re never stuck in front of your tambour embroidery frame without knowing what to do or where to start.
I want it to be simple and effective. I don't want to get stuck finding designs for embroidery, wasting time looking for materials and techniques... only to end up in frustration and giving up altogether.
Everything you need to master the art of tambour embroidery
No more headaches for:
- Finding pretty designs to embroider.
- Picking the materials that hopefully will work well together (fingers crossed).
- Deciding which techniques to use: satin stitch or pulling stitch? Vermicelli beading or continuous beads application?
- Try to work out the correct order of execution: should the satin stitch be done before the sequins river application?
A lot of time wasted thinking and searching left and right, when all you want to do is just embroider.
And… what if it was actually simple? And if you only had to choose the design you like and download it?
These patterns have all these information inside, so you don’t have to overthink: just enjoy and take the time for yourself you deserve.
Everything* you need for a successful embroidery:

Train with me
L. Sofía
Hi, there! I'm L. Sofía, a graduate in French tambour embroidery from the École Lesage (Paris) and Studio Eyral.
But I'm also the aerospace engineer and former university lecturer turned entrepreneur behind this little corner of the internet called Delta V Creations.
Just like you, when I first started embroidering, I was annoyed to find poor quality embroidery designs: you know, when you can’t work out whether that circle in the image is a sequin or a stain. And that’s if you’re lucky enough to find a drawing and not some incomprehensible text from the 19th century (forget it!).
So I used my ‘nerd brain’ (thanks engineering…) to put it all together: my own training designs, the information I needed for the materials and the step-by-step.
All of this so that embroiderying each pattern becomes a child’s play for you.
How do I know if these patterns are right for me?
If you can identify with (at least) 3 of the statements, these embroidery patterns are for you:
- “I hate it when my embroidery looks messy because my vermicelli doesn’t turn out the way I’d like.”
- “I love embroidery but when it comes to finding designs to embroider with the Lunéville hook, I’m lost and end up doing the same thing over and over again”.
- “I don’t want to spend my time figuring out what designs to embroider. I want it to be simple and effective.”
- “I’m frustrated every time I want to embroider something: I don’t even know where to start and I end up giving up.”
- “When I do it myself, I don’t know if it’s going to look good, I’m afraid it’s going to look messy.”
- “I would love to be able to make beautiful embroidery creations for my family and friends.”
- “I can’t wait to get home from work and take some time for me, to express myself.”

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
I've never embroidered with the Lunéville hook, can I use these patterns?
The answer is yes and no. If you already embroider with a needle, you can use the needle-only patterns. However, you won’t be able to embroider the rest of the patterns (yet).
In the latter case, I advise you to learn the basic techniques of Lunéville tambour embroidery: how to handle the Lunéville hook, learn the starting stitch and end stitch and learn to embroider the chain stitch. These three stitches are essential.
If you already know these stitches, you can get started with the patterns! I recommend that you start with the beginner level to practise and build your confidence. Then you’ll be ready for the rest!
I belong to a training organisation/embroidery school. Is it possible to make the patterns available to students?
If you are part of a training organisation, you can make these patterns available to students, once you have obtained the Commercial Exploitation Licence that I can issue. In any case, contact me for more information.
Can I sell the creations made from the patterns?
No, the patterns are strictly for personal use. They are protected by an intellectual property right: copyright. If you wish to exploit these embroidery patterns commercially, please contact me so that I can issue you with a Commercial Exploitation Licence.
I'm studying for a hand embroidery exam. Are these patterns useful?
Absolutely YES. In fact, it was because I was preparing for my own hand embroidery exam that I needed to practise certain techniques, like you. That’s why I’ve created these patterns in the first place, to practice and practice (and practice again) each technique. After hours of practice, you’ll have mastered it.
If you too are preparing for your embroidery exam, don’t miss the opportunity to train hard. We know how hard it is to master the silk pulling stitch, don’t we? 😉
I'd like to practise a particular technique. Is that possible?
Yes, the patterns have one or two featured techniques: pulling stitch, chain stitch, continuous bead application, vermicelli beading… Look through the existing patterns, the most classic techniques are surely there!
Where can I buy the materials to make these patterns?
Inside the pattern I detail all the materials I used, and I give you the (non-affiliated) link to each product so you can buy it directly. No more endless time searching for supplies. Just a few clicks and you’re done!
Of course, you can also use the materials you have at home. The product links can help you check whether what you already have can be of use to you.
What do I do if I have a problem while embroiderying the pattern?
The patterns include step-by-step instructions so that you can work on your own. However, if you get stuck at any point, please contact me. We can chat about your problem and I can give you some tips on how to get unblocked (telephone or video call).
I have a design that I like and I'd like to turn it into embroidery. Could you help me?
Of course. I can digitise your design and create a pattern for you on request. Write to me and tell me about your idea to see how we can work together.
